What is VoLTE calling?

VoLTE uses the 4G network for calls.

In the past, the LTE network was reserved for data exchange and not voice. With VoLTE (Voice over LTE), it has been opened up for voice streams to also be exchanged over this network. In practice, this means better coverage and higher voice quality in places where the 4G network is stronger than the tele network.
