Why is Teams Presence subscription labelled "beta"?

As Microsoft continually tries to better, upgrade and make changes to their presence service, there may be scenarios where their presence isn’t working as intended.

Given that this feature is subscribing to the Teams Presence service, the feature is no better than the input we receive from Microsoft.

This is why we have labelled the feature beta, to indicate that it may behave differently than expected.
