How to Set Up a Call Limiter?

You set up a call limiter module via PBXAdmin, where you can define both general and interval-based call limits. Additionally, you can control where calls should be directed by default and where they should go if the call limit is exceeded.

What is a Call Limiter Module?

A call limiter module can be seen as a type of "bouncer" that determines how many calls can come through—both in general and within specific intervals. This allows you to better manage the number of calls during peak periods.

How to Set Up a Call Limiter Module

  • Click on Advanced Features (udvidede funktioner) in PBXAdmin and select Call Limiters (Kaldsbegrænsere) from the menu.
  • Click the Add Call Limiter (Tilføj kaldsbegrænser) button.
  • Give the call limiter module a name (Navn) and optionally a description (Beskrivelse).
  • Set a General Time Limit (Generel tidsbegrænsning)—this is the default limit that applies outside of any defined intervals.
  • Click Add Interval (Tilføj interval) if you want to set a different call limit for a specific time period and define the call limit for this interval.
  • In the Go to (gå til) field, select where calls should be directed by default (Som standard) and where they should go if the limit is exceeded (Hvis grænsen overstiges).
  • Click Save (Gem), then finalize the setup by clicking Update System (Opdater system) in the top right corner.

Info: You can create as many intervals and call limiter modules as needed.

Note: Overlapping intervals are not allowed in a call limiter module.
